Bengaluru: The state’s Congress government was accused of corruption by the president of the Karnataka Contractors Association. In such a situation, now Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah has also given his answer. CM Siddaramaiah has said that if there are documents proving corruption in his government, then he should approach the Justice Nagmohan Das Commission. He also said that Kempanna can file a complaint against those demanding bribe. Let us tell you that Kempanna had alleged on Thursday that the practice of demanding 40 percent commission in return for awarding government contracts continues even under the Congress rule.

CM gave advice to Kempanna

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah asked Karnataka State Contractors Association President D. Kempanna to approach the Justice Nagmohan Das Commission if he has documents proving corruption in his government. The Chief Minister, who led the ’40 per cent commission’ campaign against the previous BJP government, said Kempanna could file a complaint against those demanding bribes. Siddaramaiah told reporters here that “We have constituted the Justice Nagmohan Das Commission to investigate the ’40 percent commission’ in the previous (BJP) government. If he has documents, he must share them.

Kempanna had accused the Congress government

Let us tell you that Karnataka State Contractors Association President D Kempanna had accused the Congress government of the state and said that like the previous government, the practice of 40 percent commission for government contracts continues under the Congress rule also. Let us tell you that during the BJP government in Karnataka, the contractors’ association had accused ministers, elected representatives and others of demanding 40 percent commission for awarding contracts and approving bills. Congress had capitalized on this issue on a large scale in the election campaign. However, Karnataka Contractors Association says that the situation remains the same even after the change of government.
