EaseMyTrip again gave statement on Maldives

India-Maldives Controversy: Prime Minister Narendra Modi had recently visited Lakshadweep. After this he shared the pictures of Lakshadweep. Some ministers and people of Maldives made controversial comments on these pictures. After this there was a counterattack from the Indian side. As a result, Indian travel company EaseMyTrip suspended all bookings for Maldives through its platform from January 8. Meanwhile, now on Thursday i.e. 11th January, Ease My Trip has once again issued a statement and in this statement, Ease My Trip stands by its decision of suspending bookings for Maldives.

Booking for Maldives still canceled

In fact, Ease My Trip said in its official release titled ‘Nation First, Business Letter’, ‘We are proud of the beautiful beaches of India. Our country has a coastline of 7500 km long. This includes wonderful places like Lakshadweep, Andaman, Goa, Kerala. The company said, ‘We have taken this stand in response to the recent inappropriate and unwarranted comments made by several ministers of Maldives about India, Indians and our Honorable Prime Minister.’ The company said that all bookings for Maldives have been suspended indefinitely from January 8.

Comments were made on Prime Minister Modi

The country is above any profit for us, he said. Your support on social media shows our shared love for the country. Let us remain united in this journey. Let us tell you that Ease My Trip is a travel related company. Which provides arrangements for coming, going, staying, eating etc. in foreign countries. Let us tell you that when three ministers of Maldives made controversial remarks about Prime Minister Modi, Ease My Trip was the first company which took action on it. Responding to this action of Maldives, the company suspended all the bookings for Maldives on its website.
