Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami in ‘Aap Ki Adalat’.
New Delhi: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said in India TV’s popular show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’ that if the mosque is built at the wrong place then it will be called encroachment. While replying to the questions of India TV Chairman and Editor-in-Chief Rajat Sharma on the violence following the action against encroachment in Haldwani, he said that action will continue against those encroaching on government land. He said that the tombs were built on revenue land, irrigation department and PWD land, and no remains were found in the excavation there.
‘If Hindutva is not there in Uttarakhand, where will it be?’
When Dhami was asked whether Uttarakhand was being made a laboratory of Hindutva, he replied, ‘There is no such thing as a laboratory. The people of Uttarakhand have given us the mandate. If Hindutva does not exist in Uttarakhand, then where else will it exist? On the communal violence in Haldwani, the Chief Minister said, ‘Who can legitimize the encroachment, illegal occupation and occupation of government lands in Uttarakhand? We are continuously removing encroachments. In Uttarakhand, tombs were built on forest land, revenue land, irrigation department and PWD land.
‘No remains were found when the tombs were excavated’
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, ‘When the tombs were excavated, no remains were found in them. That’s why we called it land jihad. We will not allow any change in the ‘original form’ of our Devbhoomi. If the mosque is built at the wrong place, it will be considered an encroachment and will be removed. The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand also said that ‘We will not let the demography of Devbhoomi change at any cost, we will not let it be affected.’ CM Dhami also spoke on UCC and said that it has not been brought to harass anyone.
