PM Modi cleaned Kalaram temple

Nashik: PM Modi is on a tour of Maharashtra today. PM will inaugurate the Mumbai Trans Harbor Link-MTHL (Atal Setu) today. The temple is 2000 years old

Kalaram Temple of Nashik is a 2000 year old temple of Lord Rama. Kalaram Temple was renovated in the year 1788 whereas this temple was built between 7th to 11th century of Rashtrakuta period. This temple is situated in North Nashik on the banks of river Godavari. The special thing about this temple is that the idol of Lord Ram in the sanctum sanctorum is made of black stone. Let us tell you that the place where this temple is located in Nashik is called “Panchavati”, it is believed that Lord Rama stayed on this Godavari bank for about two and a half years after completing 10 years during his 14 years of exile.
