Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Varanasi with a box of gifts. On Thursday night he conducted a road show from the airport to Bareka Guest House. PM Modi’s road show lasted for about 25 kilometers. Today, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate 24 projects worth Rs 11,000 crore and will also lay the foundation stone of 12 projects worth Rs 2,195 crore. In this way, PM Modi is going to give a gift of more than Rs 13 thousand crores to Kashi today.

Will take part in Sant Ravidas birth anniversary celebrations

PM Modi will interact with the participants of MP Knowledge Competition, MP Photography Competition and MP Sanskrit Competition at Swatantrata Bhawan of Banaras Hindu University on Friday morning. After this, at around 11:15 the Prime Minister will also visit the birthplace of Saint Ravidas in Seer Govardhan. He will participate in the 647th birth anniversary celebrations of Saint Guru Ravidas. From there he will meet the saints and address a public meeting.

Amul will inaugurate Banas Dairy Plant

PM Modi will inaugurate Amul Banas Dairy Plant today. Banas Dairy Plant is one of the biggest gifts received by Kashi. There are preparations to connect 2 lakh milk producing farmers of Purvanchal with Amul through this plant. The target of this plant is to produce 25 lakh liters of milk. This plant, built at a cost of Rs 622 crore, will benefit the farmers of 18 districts of Purvanchal. More than 3 thousand people will get direct employment. This project will provide direct and indirect employment to about one lakh people. With the opening of this dairy, the income of farmers and cow herders of Purvanchal will also double. The company will also pay a percentage of its dividend to milk producers at the end of the year.

Will inaugurate the sports complex

The second project that PM Modi is going to inaugurate today is the Sports Complex. Under one roof, compounds for 15 indoor games including 10 badminton courts, 4 squash courts, 4 billiards tables, 2 indoor basketball courts, 20 table tennis and Olympic size swimming pool have been made. Its objective is to create such players for the country who can bring medals.

Will give green signal to many other projects

To further improve the road connectivity of Varanasi, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several road projects including four-laning of the Ghargara-Bridge-Varanasi section of NH-233. To give impetus to the industrial development in the region, the Prime Minister will also visit HPCL’s LPG Bottling Plant at Sewapuri, Banas Kashi Cluster Milk Processing Unit at UPSIDA Agro Park Karkhianv; UPSIDA will also inaugurate various infrastructure works at Agro Park, Karkhianv and Silk Fabric Printing Common Facility Center for weavers. Earlier, upon reaching Kashi late on Thursday night, the Prime Minister inspected the Shivpur-Phulwaria-Lahartara road.
