Rain in many parts of Odisha

IMD scientist Umashankar Das said, “If you look at the coastal part of Odisha, there are many parts where the temperature has increased by two to three degrees above normal. The day before yesterday, Bhubaneswar recorded a temperature of 37 degrees Celsius and this is the highest in the state. Higher temperature was recorded. Yesterday the temperature was recorded at 36.4, we expect it to be around 36 degrees Celsius today also, especially as dry air continues during the day, due to which there will be a kind of dip in the temperature. There has been an increase.”

He further added, “But since we are expecting rain activities to continue over many parts of Odisha from today onwards, there will be respite from these hot weather conditions by day after tomorrow especially with the sudden drop in temperatures. Night temperatures are expected to remain unchanged. Light to moderate rainfall activity along with thunderstorm and lightning is likely over coastal adjoining districts of Odisha on 23rd and 24th, especially hot considering the situation. “The weather conditions will remain the same. For the last three days, we have issued some precautions for the people of coastal Odisha, especially during the day time.”
