This recipe is very easy to make and it is also helpful in keeping digestion healthy.

Ingredients to make Makhana Raita

  1. Curd – 1 cup
  2. Makhana – 2 cups
  3. Raita masala – 1 tsp
  4. Red chilli powder – as per taste
  5. Chaat masala – 1/2 tsp
  6. Garam masala – 1/4 tsp
  7. Desi ghee – 1 tsp
  8. Green coriander chopped – 1 tablespoon
  9. Salt – as per taste

To make Makhana Raita, first put ghee in a pan and keep it to heat on medium flame. When ghee melts, add makhana to it and fry. When the color of the makhanas turns light golden, turn off the gas and take them out in a plate and keep them aside. When the makhanas cool down, put them in the mixer and grind them coarsely. Now take a vessel and add curd in it and beat it well.

After beating the curd, add raita masala, chaat masala, garam masala, red chilli powder and salt as per taste and mix it with the help of a spoon. Now add coarsely ground makhana to the curd mixture and mix. If the raita seems thick after making, then add water as per your requirement. Your delicious makhana raita is ready. Garnish it with green coriander leaves.
