What is special about Vivekananda Rock Memorial
Swami Vivekananda was one of the greatest spiritual leaders. In his memory, this Vivekananda memorial stone which calms your mind has been built, which is commonly called Vivekananda Point. When you reach Kanyakumari, you will not be able to stop yourself from listening to your heart and mind as the Vivekananda Rock Memorial will invite you in with its astonishing peace and quiet. This Vivekananda Rock Memorial is situated on a rock in the sea at a distance of about 500 meters from the mainland.

The two main structures in the memorial are the Vivekananda Mandapam and the Sripada Mandapam. Vivekananda Mandapam is Dhyana Mandapam, i.e. meditation hall with six rooms. There is an idol of Swamiji on the outer platform all around which will be directly visible towards Sripadam. It remains open from 8 am to 4 pm. The entry fee is Rs 34 for adults and Rs 17 for students.

How to reach Vivekananda Memorial Stone?
Vivekananda Rock Memorial Island is located in the sea about 500 meters from Vavathurai Key in Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu. The nearest railway station here is Nagercoil which is 16 kilometers away from the monument. Buses, cabs and autos are available from the railway station to the docks. So you have to first reach Kanyakumari or Nagercoil and then you can reach Vivekananda Point from here.
