IPL 2024 Auction: The IPL 2024 auction is just a few hours away from now. All ten teams have prepared their list of players on whom they have to bid. This time there will be a mini auction and for the first time it is happening that the auction will be held in Dubai. This time has been fixed at 1 pm. But before the bidding starts in the auction, almost all the ten teams of IPL have suffered a major setback. This time, out of the 333 players whose names have been shortlisted by BCCI, some players may not play IPL, or some players may not be available for the entire IPL. This news, which came just a day before the auction, has forced all the teams to make strategies once again.

Josh Hazlewood may miss the first few matches, other players will be seen playing

IPL 2024 will start from March next year and is likely to continue till the end of May. Meanwhile, news has come that the boards of Australia, South Africa, Afghanistan, New Zealand and West Indies have given permission to their players to play in the IPL completely with little or no conditions. But the boards of England, Ireland, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have given conditional approval. According to a report by Cricbuzz, except Australia’s Josh Hazlewood, all the other players will be available for the entire IPL season. The report said that Cricket Australia i.e. CA has told BCCI that its players will be completely available except Josh Hazlewood and those who played in the Sheffield Shield final. CA has assured BCCI that all players will be available unless injured.

England’s Rehan Ahmed withdrew his name

If we talk about England, the England and Wales Cricket Board i.e. ECB has said that its players can participate in the league unless they are unfit or have international duty. Meanwhile, it has been learned that Rehan Ahmed, whose name was shortlisted, has withdrawn from the auction. Bangladesh Cricket Board i.e. BCB and Cricket Ireland have made their players available only for a short period of time. But Mustafizur Rahman and Joshua Little have been given special permission. BCB has said that Mustafizur Rahman can participate in the league from March 22 to May 11.

Taskin Ahmed and Mohammad Shoriful Islam will not play the next season of IPL

Talking about Sri Lankan players, Sri Lanka has to play the second and last test against Bangladesh from March 30 to April 3, due to which questions are being raised on the availability of some Sri Lankan players. However, it is learned that Mahesh Theekshana, Wanindu Hasaranga, Mathisha Pathirana and Dushmantha Chameera will be available for the entire duration of the IPL as they do not play in Tests. BCB has also told BCCI that Taskin Ahmed and Mohammad Shoriful Islam will not be available for IPL 2024. Both these players were shortlisted, and some teams were also preparing to target them. This is no less than a shock for them. Afghanistan Cricket Board, Cricket West Indies, Cricket South Africa, New Zealand Cricket and Zimbabwe Cricket have said that their players will be available for the entire duration of the IPL.
