I am traveling to. I am glad to see that this important event is being organized under the chairmanship of the UAE, which has been an important partner for India in the field of climate action.

The Prime Minister said that in keeping with our civilizational ethos, India has always emphasized climate action while pursuing social and economic development. During our G20 presidency, the issue of climate change was at the top of our priority. The leaders’ announcement from New Delhi includes several concrete steps on climate action and sustainable development. I hope that COP-28 will advance consensus on these issues. He said COP28 would also provide an opportunity to review progress made under the Paris Agreement and chart a way for the future course on climate action.
