Thailand News: A major bus accident has come to light in Thailand. 14 people have died in this bus accident. There are reports of more than 30 people being injured. This accident happened in the early hours of Tuesday in western Thailand. The officers provided this information. A local police official said the accident happened in Prachuap Khiri Khan province when the bus was heading towards Songkhla province, farther south from Bangkok. There were 49 people in the bus.
The bus crashed after hitting a tree
Suddenly the bus went off the road and collided with a tree near Hat Vanakorn National Park. Prachuap Khiri Khan Province is located on the coast spanning between the Gulf of Thailand and Myanmar. “We suspect that the bus driver may have fallen asleep, leading to the accident,” said Colonel Veerapat Ketesa, superintendent of Huai Yang police station. He said officials were waiting for the results of the driver’s blood test.
What happened to the bus driver?
The bus driver survived in this bus accident. The officer said that the police are investigating the cause of the accident. Veerapat said most of the victims were residents of Thailand and some were citizens of Myanmar. According to ‘Sawang Rungrueng Rescue Foundation’, about 35 people are undergoing treatment in local hospitals.

The accident occurred in Prachuap Khiri Khan province at around 12.30 am on Tuesday, Xinhua news agency quoted the statement as saying. The bus was heading from the capital Bangkok to Nthawi district of Songkhla province. “The injured were taken to local hospitals,” the statement said. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
