London: An Indian student, who went missing in Britain last month, has been found dead in the River Thames there. Police said that 23-year-old Meetkumar Patel (23) had reached Britain in September for higher studies. He was reported missing here on November 17. The Metropolitan Police found his body in the River Thames near the Canary Wharf area of ​​east London on 21 November. Campaign being run to raise funds

Parth Patel, a relative of Meetkumar, has started an online campaign ‘Go Fund Me’ to raise funds to help his family. An appeal has been made to raise funds which states that ‘Meetkumar Patel was a 23-year-old young man who came to Britain for higher studies on 19 September 2023.’ It says that ‘he belonged to a farmer family and used to live in the village. He was missing since 17 November 2023. Now on November 21, the police found his body. This is sad for all of us. Therefore, we decided to raise funds to help his family and also send his body to India.

Meetkumar had gone for a morning walk

The appeal states that the funds will help in safely transferring Meetkumar’s body to his family in India. According to the news of the Evening Standard newspaper, the student was to go to Sheffield on November 20 to pursue a degree at Sheffield Hallam University and start a part-time job at Amazon. According to the news, he had gone for a morning walk. After this, he did not return to his home in London. When he did not return home, his relatives informed the police about his disappearance. After this his body was recovered in the River Thames.
